Generally the Nokias have better reception than others. Just make sure you can return the Samsung if it doesn't work.

It depends what phone plan you have usually. But you can check out phones at:

AT&T
Verizon
T-Mobile
Cricket

And the large stores with a variety of phones compatible with different plans:

Best Buy (Your best bet)
Walmart
Target

It doesnt have anything to do with the phone. It just depends where you are. I don't know what they are called but there are these things you can buy for your home that improves signal strength. You can look it up I am sure thats a better solution

Atat is the best verizon has good service but they usually make your bill very high and they add a lot of money to your bill for using things you didn't use. T-mobile is cheap to but you get depend on the signals of the phone all the time.

Radio shack is a good place where they sell a variety of sell phones for cheap or you can buy a track phone from almost any phone store its cheap and neat! ……….. and Welcome to America hope you have fun

You can buy a cheap pay as you go phone at Wal-mart, they're all over the place. They have quite a few to choose from too. That's assuming of course you're just here for a short period of time.

Which T-Mobile phone gets the best signal?
I am a T-Mobile customer and I’m looking to upgrade my phone as my contract has just expired. I want something with a QWERTY keyboard because I do a lot of texting. However, I don’t really have a strong signal in my house. Any ideas on which phones are good at grabbing weak signals? I am interested in the Samsung Gravity but I’m not sure if it will get service in a weak spot like my house.

Americans: What are your most popular mobile (cell) phone shops?
Hello americans! i’m coming over to orlando in florida soon from the UK and would like to buy a cheap mobile phone (cell phone) so that i don’t have to pay massive bills on my british phone!

In the uk we have a shop called ‘carphone warehouse’ which is our best phone shop. What is the USA equivalent of that shop where i can buy an american phone on an american network?
